The Last Stretch

So I decided I wanted to start a blog (even though I don't feel like I'm the kind of guy who would blog) to try to explain all of the changes in my life that are about to happen.  I am leaving in 36 hours to go back to school, for the last time.  I have 3 weeks to have all the final dinners, and coffee meetings with everyone that matters to me.  I then am going to come home, and begin working part time as a waiter and begin student teaching the the Sayville School District here on Long Island.  Although I am very excited for all of this, I'm scared as hell.  The future is very cloudy right now, and I am not the kind of person who likes that uncertainty.  I think that hopefully this will become a weekly post that I can reflect on what I am up to, and let all you people out on the interweb know what is going on.  So, until next saturday...

You're going to love student teaching, trust me. Once you get readjusted to being home again, it will be great. And why do they have to be "final meetings?" Nothing is final unless you make it so.

Embrace the uncertainty. Enjoy the clouds! Its that moment on the roller coaster when you're at the very top. You can only see the sky and the world stretched out around you. But you can't see the track about to drop off below you. Then... suddenly you're flying at breakneck speeds through life.
Yeah, okay. I lied. It's terrifying. But still... That doesn't stop anyone from riding roller coasters!
